 Membership Application and Guidelines

Are you thinking about becoming a West Coast GM Performance member? Although our doors are always open, we may not be the "right" club for everyone. Each individual has different tastes about their cars and what they like to do with their cars. Please read these guidelines to see if WCGMP would be a good fit for you.

Who We Are
WCGMP is a collection of individuals dedicated to GM performance vehicles (see "The cars" section for more information). We are not a rowdy bunch of "kids" doing donuts in a parking lot. We enjoy GM performance vehicles and sharing that bond with other like-minded individuals. We also have events that promote WCGMP as a positive entity within the community.

What You Get

As a WCGMP member, you are eligible for special WCGMP events. Our events include - but not limited to - monthly meets, car shows, cruises, recreational and competitive motor sport activities and annual barbecue. You will also receive a place in our member's gallery, monthly newsletter: The Fuel Line, an opportunity to become Car of the Month. As gift from us, you will receive an official WCGMP decal.

The Cars
To keep in the spirit of "GM Performance", we here at WCGMP encourage owners of the following vehicles to become a member.

Sports Cars:
Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac XLR

  Muscle Cars:
Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird and GTO
Compact Sports Cars:
Chevrolet Cobalt SS and Cavalier Z24

Classic Muscle Cars:
Pre-72 GM Muscle Cars
Roadsters:

People who wish to join WCGMP but don't own vehicles that fall within the guidelines set above may request consideration for membership through the WCGMP officers group. These could include but are not limited to non GM bodied vehicles powered by GM powerplants, 4 Cyl. or 6 Cyl GM non performance vehicles that have been modified for performance, etc.

* Acceptance is subject to WCGMP approval *

Code of Conduct
As a WCGMP member, you represent the club during official WCGMP club events. Should your conduct during an official WCGMP event hurt the overall reputation of WCGMP, it may result in suspension or termination of your WCGMP membership without refund. Inappropriate conduct may include - illegal street racing, flagrant disregard for the safety of other WCGMP members, disrespecting WCGMP members or the WCGMP club as a whole, or other acts the WCGMP officers have deemed inappropriate.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are due when you decide to become a member, and your membership is accepted by the WCGMP officers. Once you are a member you are entitled to all the benefits of being a WCGMP member and bound by the code of conduct explained above. Annual renewal of your membership fee will be due 1 year from the original date of membership - if you wish to remain a member. Cost of membership (currently $20 annually) is subject to change without notice.

Membership Cancellation
Your membership can be cancelled at anytime by you or by the WCGMP officers without notice and without cause. A full refund will be provided for membership cancellation only within the first 30 days.
