News What's happening in the world of WCGMP

Completely new WCGMP Website

I would like to welcome all of you to our completely new website. Although the old website had some great content, it was too hard to maintain as it was a 100% flash page. Changes took too long and one mistake could take the entire page. And with the support for flash going downhill, it only made sense to change.

Today, we are running HTML5 which is completely new to me. I have never constructed a page with HTML5 but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to learn and edit. This should make monthly updates to the page much less painful.

Once again, this is a new page using HTML5 so it might not be perfect. Take a look around. If you find something that isn't working or find any errors, please email me here.

Thank You,
WCGMP Webmaster

WCGMP Welcomes 2012

Some people believe that 2012 marks the end of world. Well, if that is the case we better make this year the best year ever. Things have changed in 2012. For one, the website has been complete redone. We have WCGMP Officers in brand new positions. JC Fung is trying his hand at handling the money by becoming the 2012 WCGMP Treasurer. Jason Medina wants to make 2012 as fun as possible and take the helm as the 2012 Social Director.

For a New Year Resolution, WCGMP will be working to improve the events by analyzing the successful events of the past as well as the events that did not garner the participation we hoped for. There are many car clubs that have fewer attendance and fewer events, but there are still a subset of members in those clubs that are eager to enjoy their cars. WCGMP would like to reach out to these clubs and produce events that will benefit both clubs equally. A club is nothing without its members and hopefully by showing that there are still people enthusiastic about their cars and events, that it will encourage those that are on the fence about attending events.

We would also like to hear from you, the WCGMP members. What events would you like to see? There might be one you want that others might want as well. Speak up. We are listening.

This is going to be a tough year with the impending doom and all, but I am sure we can still find time to enjoy the finer things in life. Like fast cars. Who's with me?
